Carne Asada

This stuff in a tortilla with all the fixins, thrown on top of a salad, or eaten straight from the cutting board… Yum!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs flank steak
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3 limes, juiced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 jalapeno, diced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Whisk all marinade ingredients in a bowl. Put steak in a gallon-size Ziploc bag. Put in refrigerator 1-4 hours, flipping every once in a while, to make sure the whole thing gets yummy.

Heat grill to medium-high & slap the steak on the grates. Cook about 5-7 minutes on each side. Let the steak rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes.

Slice the carne asada at an angle against the grain. Chop it if you wish.
