We doctored up the old Bisquick recipe to make this tasty breakfast. Apples sauteed in butter with cinnamon. How can you go wrong?
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Bisquick Original baking mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 Macintosh apple
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp salt
Mix bisquick mix, milk, and egg together. Set aside. Peel and core apple, slice it and chop it finely. Melt butter in a skillet over medium high heat and add apples. Sprinkle apples with brown sugar and spices. Cook until apples are soft and the sauce is good and bubbly (about 3-5 minutes). Fold apple mixture into pancake batter. Cook pancakes on a griddle or in a frying pan, however you normally cook pancakes.
