Apple Custard Pie

Mom Riely’s Recipe- This is a Riely family favorite! Ingredients: 6-8 tart apples, peeled and sliced (i.e., Macintosh) 1 1/2 cup sugar 6 Tbsp flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg Dash of ginger 1/2 cup light cream or half and half Frozen pie crust Place apples in an unbaked pie crust. PILE HIGH! Mix together sugar, flour, cream, salt, and spices. Pour mixture over apples. Sprinkle top with additional cinnamon. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake 1 hour at 375 degrees. Broccoli Apple Salad

Contributed by Paula & Al I love sweet & savory together. This salad is exactly that. Use whatever apple & onion variety is your favorite. Ingredients: 4 cups small broccoli florets, diced 2 small gala apples, cored & diced 1 cup matchstick carrots, roughly chopped 1/2 cup golden raisins or dried cranberries 1/4 cup chopped red onion 1 cup walnuts Dressing: 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt 1/3 cup Mayo 1 1/2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar 3 Tbsp honey Salt, to taste Mix all dressing ingredients together & chill until ready for it. We doctored up the old Bisquick recipe to make this tasty breakfast. Apples sauteed in butter with cinnamon. How can you go wrong? Ingredients: 1 cup Bisquick Original baking mix 1/2 cup milk 1 egg 1 Macintosh apple 2 Tbsp butter 3 Tbsp brown sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/8 tsp salt Mix bisquick mix, milk, and egg together.
