Created in Al’s mind after watching the Food Network This is a favorite in our house now, including Sam. The spinach is his favorite part! Editor’s note: Since this was originally typed, some might say Sam has wisened up- he avoids the spinach now. But the grownups still really enjoy it. From Betty Crocker’s New Cookbook Brendan’s new favorite dessert! Ingredients: 1 qt strawberries 1/2 cup sugar 1/3 cup shortening 2 cups all purpose flour 2 Tbsp sugar 3 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 3/4 cup milk Sweetened whipped cream or ice cream Mix strawberries and 1/2 cup sugar. You can either slice the berries or throw them and the sugar into a blender and make a strawberry puree. Seasoned Oyster Cracker Snack

Serves many!! Contributed by Cam & Nicki Ingredients: 1 cup oil 1 tsp garlic salt 1 tsp seasoning salt 1 tsp dill weed 1 tsp lemon pepper 2 bags oyster crackers 1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning Mix together oil & seasonings. Place crackers in a brown grocery bag. Slowly pour oil mixture over crackers while continuously shaking bag to mix. Shake bag until all crackers are well-coated. Place in airtight container.
