Lacy Oatmeal Cookies

This recipe comes from the Mrs. Fields Best Cookie Book Ever, so you know they’re good! They’re not like what you think of when you think “oatmeal cookies”. They’re buttery, chewy, lacy cookies that are VERY addictive. Be careful when you spoon the dough onto a cookie sheet as they tend to flatten out and spread quite a bit. Butterfinger Bars

This recipe was added to the collection by Anita. I had forgotten about these tasty treats! Cream together: 1 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 cup brown sugar Blend the following into sugar mixture: 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 2/3 cup peanut butter Mix into above mixture: 2 cups flour 2 cups oatmeal Spread into an ungreased 9 x 13 inch cake pan.
