Pudding & Ice Cream Pie

Contributed by Paula

Super easy, super fast, super dooper YUMMY!!! Super fun to squish through your fingers, just ask Sam…

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen pie crust
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pint (2 cups) ice cream
  • 1 small box of instant pudding
  • Cool whip
  • Sprinkle toppings

The marvelous thing about this recipe is that you can try any combination you desire. We have used NY vanilla ice cream with vanilla pudding and added banana slices. Then put cool whip on top and sprinkled with peanut butter cup bits. Then put cool whip on top and sprinkled with more Heath bits…MMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

Bake the pie crust as stated on the package. Let it cool. While it’s cooling, blend together milk, ice cream, and pudding. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use your stand mixer! It is too powerful and you will have milk and pudding mix everywhere! Please learn from my mistake!! A hand mixer works great. Just sort of pulse it a bit until the ice cream starts to blend with the rest and get thicker. I even tried the “pulsing” technique with the stand mixer and still stuff flew!

Pour this mixture into the cooked pie crust. Let it set in the refrigerator. Then garnish with cool whip and whatever toppings you want to use. Store this in the refrigerator, not the freezer.
